Cancel or Change USPS Hold Mail Online Request without Confirmation Number

As you all are aware of the various services or facilities provided by the United States Postal Services (USPS). From one of them is Hold Mail. You all must be thinking “what is Hold Mail?”

If you are not available to receive your mail on time or you are out of town then you can request them to hold your mail for the time being you are not in town. This service of holding a mail you can use. This is known as HOLDING MAIL. You put your mail hold request online and by visiting your nearest post office. In both the cases, you have to fill the form (PS Form 8076)

You can cancel or change your USPS hold mail request anytime. If you want to cancel the request on call then you can call on 1-800-ASK-USPS® (1-800-275-8777) and if you don’t want to do on call then you can cancel or change the request online. For that follow the given steps below:

Change/Edit USPS Hold Mail Request

  1. Firstly, click on https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail/ to make changes or for edit the request.
  2. “Edit or cancel an existing Hold Mail request” click on this option on right side corner.
  3. Enter the confirmation number over there and either the email or phone number you send in your request.
  4. After this step, you can mold the information according to you and you can also change the beginning and end date but once the request process starts then you can only change the end date not beginning.
  5. After this scroll to down and click on continue and then on YES to verify.
  6. Now you will be on page where the request will show you Updated information by you.

Cancel USPS Hold Mail Request

  • Firstly, click on https://holdmail.usps.com/holdmail/ to make changes or for edit the request.
  • “Edit or cancel an existing Hold Mail request” click on this option on right side corner.
  • Enter the confirmation number over there and either the email or phone number you send in your request.
  • Now you are able to cancel the request by filling up required information then click on continue then it will redirect you to verify the cancellation page.
  • Click on “yes” and cancellation page will be display to you with cancellation request confirmation.

 

If you don’t have the confirmation code or number you can simply visit your post office and over there show your ID they will change/cancel the hold mail request as per information provided by you to them.
